My name is Erin and I’m a photoholic. I first started taking pictures almost 20 years ago with a beat up old Nikon that probably sat in a pawn shop for months before someone desperate enough to buy it came along. It was ugly, but it made me proud for many years — even after it rolled down a mountain at Yosemite. I still have that camera.
After earning a BA in Literature, I decided there was no way I could make less money so I enrolled in graduate school to study photography. Now I have an MFA and a lot more cameras. And lights. And tripods. And other accessories, because it’s always about the accessories.
Shooting beautiful spaces helps me pay for all that stuff I bought, but it’s so much more than a job. It’s an addiction.
When I’m not taking pictures, I’m playing fetch with my adorable toddler Ike. I also write a blog with my best pal Karly called Design Crisis, where we chronicle the highs and lows of — what else? — interior decor.
I live in Austin. I love taking pictures. Hire me to take some for you.
